The given diagram illustrates the process of growth in a frog’s life.
Overall, there are eleven steps in the development procedure of frogs and they are divided by three main stages namely eggs, tadpoles and frogs.
The process begins when eggs are laid by adult frogs. After that, these eggs will grow up and become tadpoles. In this step, water-plant is the main food resource. Growing continues to happen, tadpoles start to have external gills for breathing and their hindlegs gradually appear. Tail keeps on growing at this stage.
Moving to the remaining steps, after the appearance of hind legs, frogs live from food stored in the tail. Throughout the time where front legs appear, their tail becomes shorter until they disappear clearly to become a young frog. The size will be bigger and reach the magnitude of an adult frog.
