The provided diagram presents the life cycle of the female mosquito
There are several of the main stages of the life cycle of the insect, from an egg to an adult mosquito. Overall, the lifespan of the female mosquito takes 6 to 8 months.
At the first step of the life span, the adult female mosquito lays eggs in the lakes or any places with water resources. This stage lasts for up to one week. After, it takes ten days for each egg to become larvae. After a week, the larvae become larger. For the next two weeks, the larva moves to stage two and three with a bigger size.Week five is the last stage of the mosquito in a larval shape with size larger than in the first stage. After a period of five weeks, molt is occurred before the larva moves to pupal stage. This stage will occur in six weeks . After one to two weeks, the pupa develops to an adult mosquito with fully-grown mosquitoes. Finally, the female lays eggs in the water and the life cycle will start all over again.
