Overall, the honey bee lives about 34-36 days, and it is clear that there are 3 distinct stages illustrated in the process, beginning with the honey bee eggs being hatched, then they grow up to honey bee adulthood, and the final stage is when female honey bees lay eggs.

At the first stage, honey bee eggs hatch around 9-10 days. Next, after 5 days, honey bee babies emerge from the eggs and enter the nymph stage. The honey bees take around 7-9 days to mature. During the next 9 days, the baby bees, now called nymphs, molt and their size triples compared to the previous stage. The significant stage is when the nymphs molt and become young adults, which generally takes four days for the honey bee to fully mature. After that, the female honey bees lay 1 or 2 eggs every day. After completing all these steps, the life cycle will begin again.
