The diagram illustrates the honey bee’s life cycle.
Overall, there are five main stages in the development of the honey bee, from egg to mature adult insect.
In terms of how the honey bee was born, the mother’s bee lay a single or a pair of eggs for every three days. After 9 to 10 days, the eggs hatched and offsprings are not prepared to leave the eggs until five days later. On the following week, small babies have not yet fully growth in size, however, they have emerged wings and other body parts.
During the next 9 days, the baby’s bees have been given their name as Nymph moults and the creature is triple the size compared to that of the previous stage. Since then, an obvious characteristic of the young adult appears, in particular, stripes are horizontally covered throughout their bodies. At the last stage of the life cycle, the bees are left with only 4 days in adulthood prior to the beginning of new ones.
