The diagram illustrates the process of producing sugar from sugar cane.
Overall, it can be seen that there are seven stages in the process, starting from the growing of sugar cane and ending with drying and cooling the sugar.
According to the first stage, the sugar cane is grown for 12-18 months and then undergoes harvesting in the second stage. After being harvested, it goes to a crushing machine and is converted into juice. The juice is then purified using a limestone filter in the fourth stage.
Following this, the clean juice is heated in an evaporator in the fifth stage in order to become syrup. The syrup is then passed through a centrifuge in the sixth stage, which separates the sugar crystals from the syrup. After centrifuging, the sugar crystals are wet and may still be hot. In the last stage, the sugar crystals are dried and cooled.
