The diagram illustrates the information about the manufacturing process of sugar production from sugar cane. There are eight steps to complete the whole process. Overall, the process begins with growing sugar cane on a farm and ends with the process of sugar drying and cooling in a vessel.
To commence, the sugar cane is planted on a farm where it takes about one and a half years to grow. After that, the sugar cane is harvested with the help of a person or a mechanical machine. After harvesting, the sugar cane is sent for the crushing process where a crusher produces juice. Another step is purifying, where the juice is purified by using a limestone filter.
The second stage is heating, where the juice is heated in an evaporator vessel, resulting in the juice becoming syrup. Next, the syrup is sent for the centrifuge process where it changes its form from liquid to crystals. Finally, the sugar is ready for the drying and cooling process in the vessel and then transported for sale at a retailer store.
