The diagram illustrates the process of sugar cane manufacturing in various steps for making sugar.
Overall, it can be observed that there are 7 stages for the production of sugar, which commences with the natural growing period of the sugar cane plant and culminates with drying and cooling of sugar.
At the beginning, a significant amount of sugar canes are grown over a period of approximately 12-18 month. The canes are then harvested either by hand or using heavy farming machinery. In the next phase, sugar canes are crushed in a grinder resulting in raw sugar cane juice, which is then collected in a ground plate. Following this, the juice is purified by being dripped through a limestone filter.
In the fifth stage, in the evaporator tank, the juice turns into syrup with the help of to heating procedure. Subsequently, by way of centrifuge process detaching sugar crystals from the syrup begins. In the final phase, the sugar is dried and cooled into its last form, ready to be delivered for the end user.
