Overall, it is clearly visible that the entire process comprises a total of seven main stages, starting from growing sugar cane and culminating in drying and cooling the sugar. Throughout the process, sugar cane is gradually transformed into sugar.
Beginning with the initial stage, sugar cane is grown over a period of 12 to 18 months and then it is harvested by farmers or by machine. Following this, it is put into a crushing machine to obtain juice. Once this stage is completed, the juice is passed through a limestone filter for purification before further processing. In the subsequent phase, the collected juice is put into the evaporator and the juice becomes syrup by applying heat, which takes place before moving to the next step.
Continuing further, the syrup undergoes a centrifuge process which separates sugar crystals from the syrup. The penultimate step involves drying and cooling the sugar crystals. Finally, in the ultimate stage, the sugar crystals are dried and cooled to produce sugar, resulting in the final product and marking the end of the process.
