The given diagram illustrates how plastic bottles are recycled.
Overall, this process contains three main stages, including collecting and sorting bottles, compressing bottles and producing raw materials, and the return of the materials back to the environment.
Initially, bottles collected from trash bins are transported by a bus to the recycling centre where they are sorted. After being sorted, these bottled enter a phase of being compressed into blocks, the blocks is then crushed into small pieces and dropped down under the water to wash.
These pieces are used to produce plastic pellets which are then heated to form raw materials. Different kinds of category can be manufactured from raw material, including new bottles, plastic boxes, clothes,….. . These products are eventually thrown back to the trash bin, and the repeated loops cycle.
