Initially, cans are collected and sorted according to their material characteristics at the collection centres, after which, they are transported to the recycling factory. Following this, used drinks cans are compacted and shaped into a mass, ready for the following stages.
The subsequent process takes place at the recycling centre. Once delivered to the recycling plant, the aluminium mass is melted down into liquid metal, and then molded into new aluminum bars. Afterwards, these metal bars are compressed, turning into thin rolls. Upon the completion of this stage,completely new cans are produced from the aluminium rolls, at which point they are available for filling with beverages. Finally, these cans are delivered to the drinks machine and ready for consumption, thereby restarting the entire recycling cy
