The image illustrates the several steps required for water to undergo inside a water purification plant. Overall, the process commences with raw water coming from rivers and finishes with the final treated product ready for home consumption. There are 5 steps requiring special machines and water treatment euipment.
First of all, raw water from rivers are passed through specific type of pipes inside the plant, where coagulants are added. After that, it is passed through coagulation and flocculation basin. Before adding certain type of polymer, water goes through the sedimentation basin. After sedimentation and polymerization, filters are used to remove any pollutants in the water at this stage.
Disinfectant Fluoride is then added to the filtered water through the pipes. Subsequently, a disinfectant basin takes over to pass the water to almost its final stage. Before the treated water being stored in the storage place, corrosion control scheme is applied to it through the pipes of the plant. After final treatment, water is ready for home consumption.
