The static pie chart compare the proportion of time alloted on smartphones and tablets by categoryd. There are six categories in each chart.
Overall, the most significant portion of time was spent on games in both chart. Similarly, social networking stood the second higgest number in smartphones usage and tablets usage. In contrast, the other category and news accounted for the smallest portions on both devices, respectively, with the remaining categories in the middle.
Games dominated tablets usage, accounting for over half (57%) of the tim spent, while it’s share on smartphones was much smaller at 35% . Correspondingly with games, social networking occupied a significant portion on samrtphones at 29%, compared to only 5% on tablets. On the other hand, utilities represented the third highest proportion of smartphone time at 20%, whereas it consitituted just 3% of tablets usage.
In terms of smaller categories, music and videos made up a moderate portion on both devices , comprising 8% of smartphones time and slightly more at 13% on tablets. News had a smaller distribution with 3% on smartphones and 4% on tablets. The other category remained consistently minor, accounting for 5% of smartphones and 8% of tablets usage.
