The illustration demonstrates the sequence of manufacturing olive oil. Overall, seven stages are employed in the process. Regarding the main objectives, the process begins with smashing high-quality olives to obtain olive paste, plus progresses through pressure to separate water and oil, concluding with the distribution of the final products to retail outlets.
The first six main stages aim to produce olive oil. Initially, ripe olives are harvested from farms and thoroughly cleansed to undergo the extraction process. After this, the resulting product is carefully put into bags with holes before being mechanically compressed. Subsequently, the resulting product naturally separates into two different liquids, which are water and oil. The unwanted water is eliminated, whereas the purified oil is ready for the final packaging and distribution phase.
Storing and shipping to markets are the results of the remaining stage. The olive oil is being packaged, which is ultimately shipped to shops and markets
