The diagram illustrates the steps involved in producing electricity from coal.
Overall, the process of generating electricity using coal begins with grinding the coal and ends with distributing the power to the city. Key stages include heating, transforming the energy and transfering the electricity.
First, coal is added in the pulveriser, where it is ground to use as an energy source. The coal is then burned with fire in the furnace, the smoke coming out of furnace is released to the environment. The heat is obtained through the furnace and this heated the coil conneted to the rotating turbine. The turbine is also joined to the cooling coil.
Next, the output from the turbine is connected with the generator rod. The generator rotation produces electricity but still need to transform the energy.
Finally, the generated electricity is transformed in the transformer. The produced electricity is then delivered through the power lines, ready for use in factory and households.
