The diagram depicts the transformation of Liverton docks from 1980 to the present date. Overall extensive changes have taken place, especially with the demolition of all the warehouses and replaced by leisure activities.
To begin with, in the east, where two warehouses located with crane in the middle were dismantled, and education centre and sailing club were established adjacent to each other. In further east kid’s playing area was built on the place of warehouse.
Another striking change occurred in the southern part, where hotel was constructed on the place of crane. Adjacent to hotel warehouse was transformed into apartments. in futher southeast, beside apartments used to be a vacant area, now parking was constructed offering amenities to visitors.
In the river, four ships used to be sailing, now its only one ships sails, which serves in taking visitors to museum. In the further southeast bridge was erected making a way for public to visit other side and flood barrier was constructed adjacent to bridge. Despite of all these tranformation coast still remained at a stagnant level.
