This process introduces the modern landfill for the disposal of household waste.
In general, the process consists of three main stages, starting with construction and ending with the final step of closure.
The beginning of the process is marked by a giant hole being dug into the earth, above the natural rock surface. The next step is that the man-made landfill will be lined with a substance layer on the clay surface to prevent impurities from seeping into the ground. Following this step, drainage tanks and drainage pipes will be installed to collect and manage any waste liquid. The next term of the process is the filling of the hole. Then, the waste liquids will be held in the drainage tank and the extracted gases will be pumped through the pipes. In the final step, the landfill will be capped with another thick layer of clay on top of the waste to emit the gases from the landfill.
