To begin with, water from the ocean is evaporated since the sunlight heats up the ocean surface, this step contributes about 80 percent of water vapour in air. The next step starts when water vapour is condensed in the air, therefore forming cloud.
As for the second part of the process, cloud becomes heavy by gaining more water vapour and starts creating rain, starting the phase of precipitation. At the same time, rain drops roll down from the top of mountain and end up being at the valley, creating lakes. Then, the earth absorbs water from the lakes and turn into groundwater. The final stage is when groundwater flows into the ocean and the cycle repeats.
