The diagram illustrates the cycle of water transformation. Overall, it can be seen from the diagram that the majority of water comes from the ocean and transforms in several steps such as evaporation, condensing, cloud formation, and precipitation before getting back to the sea.
The sea water will be evaporated by heat from the sun to be in form of vapour. The total of water vapour in the air come from the ocean approximately 80% of all of it. It will be condensed and formed in term of cloud. It can commute to many places by the wind.
After cloud formation process, when the could has adequate mass, the precipitation will be launched to the land in several terms depended on the temperature on each area. For example, in the cold weather, it may fall as snow, or in the hot weather, it may fall as rain. The precipitation can be fallen in every area on the earth. If it fall in the forest, the trees will absorb the water in order to treat itself and store it underground. On the other hand, water that tree cannot absorb or it doesn’t fall into the lakes or river, it will run off to the lower area and finally turn back to the ocean. However, before turning back to the ocean, fresh water, including the ran-off water and underground water, will pass salt water intrusion process at the coastal area.
