As for the reasons for the former statement, commuting to work is the most popular with 55%. Although other activities would play important roles as well, such as taking their children to school (40%) or for bussiness purposes (45%). Only a tiny percentage (15%) of the citizens of Edmonton use their car for recreational activites. According to this analysis, it is safe to conclude that people of Edmonton are opting for private ways of transport in order to fullfil daily tasks related to work or family.
