The given diagram presents information about how electricity is produced from geothermal energy. At the first glance, the production of electricity is divided into five essential stages including above-ground and underground processes.
In a geothermal power plant, first a cold water stores in an adequate reservoir to allocate water to the project. After being stored, the cold water is pumped down to the underground about 4.5km deep, following to this the water passes through injection well to reach the hot rock. Subsequently, the liquid pass through a permeable layer, known geothermal zone where the cold water is heated. Then, the hot water is pumped up through the production well to reach the surface of the condenser. Once reached, the condenser is produced steam under high pressure.
Finally, the produce steam spins the turbine to generate electricity from renewable source, then the processes continue.
