The two maps illustrate how a particular park has been improved. Overall, great changes have taken place to this venue, with a range of new facilities constructed.
Starting with the first map, a housing block sat to the northwest of the park. The park itself was bisected and surrounded by footpaths in the configuration of the “number 8”, where residents nearby were able to take a walk. In the western area, there was nothing but a forest while an oval-shaped lake for boating, some flower beds and a café occupied the eastern side.
Turning to the second one, the residential area remains unchanged. People now can use the footpaths for both walking and bike-riding. Most trees in the large wooded area have been cut down, giving way to the establishment of a recreational section where there are benches and a barbeque area. Noticeably, the café has been relocated from the east to the west. In contrast, the eastern side of the park has become a sports area, with a few trees planted. More specifically, several tennis courts and a swimming pool have been constructed there.
