The given diagrams show the geographical destination a volcano is and compare the conditions of a nearby village before and after a volcanic eruption.
Overall, the surveyed volcano is in the vicinity of a village which is located in its potential path for lava flowing. This close proximity also means that the village suffers from severe consequences when a volcanic eruption occurs.
Regarding the position of this volcano, it is surrounded by the ocean and a small vacant area in its base while a gas cloud and magma in its crater indicate recent activities. The area dedicated for residence is located to the Southeast of this volcano, bordering the path through which lava can channel after an eruption. This makes the village become more vulnerable to any volcanic erruptions, leaving profound damages. Prior to the eruption, there were several houses that were situated among a number of palm trees.
When a volcanic eruption happens, the overflowing lava traversed across the village, bisecting it into Northern and Southern sides. All the houses that stood in this path were destroyed while only half of the original area of plantation left. There were only some houses and a few palm trees staying unaffected in the Northernmost of the village where lava from the volcano could not reach.
