The maps depict the position of a volcano and a village before and after the volcanic eruption.
Overall, the village underwent significant changes but followed a negative trajectory. The activation of the volcano had a devastating impact on the village since numerous/ multiple houses and vegetation were destroyed.
Regarding the position of the volcano, it was situated on an isolated island that was completely surrounded by the ocean. Adjacent to the volcano was a small village. Particularly, there were a number of houses interspersed with several palm trees, and it was likely that the village was arranged in a circle.
Regarding the village after the eruption, the activation of the volcano enabled lava to be molten and flow out from its crater reaching the coastline. The paths that the lava ran through formed a long stream which destroyed many houses and trees in its path, while the other houses far away from the lava stream remained intact and unaffected.
