The diagrams below illustrates the operation of making raw materials for ceramic tiles. Below in this essay will show the steps that included in manufacturing them.
Overall, the preperation of ceramic move in four parts. Starting with raw materials, mixering, dryering, and end up with firing to produce ceramic.
First of all, preperation of raw materials begin with mixer with grinder and add water to clay to produce slurry, this liquid pass to a machine called Filter press to remove any moisture available. In addition, the materials go to a Spray dryer which is equipment that dries materials into hot air and makes powder. Then, they use a tile press to push the powder and shaped them into tiles and transfer them to the next step.
Furthermore, In tile manufacturing, the tiles put into drying chamber at temperature no less 100-200 Degrees Celsius, unless for 1 to 2 days. After that, a coating is applied to the tiles using a glazing machine. Finally, the tiles moved to a kiln at temperature 1000C to 1250C for 20-30 minutes to complete the manufacturing process.
