The provided process diagram illustrates the creation method of essential oil from leaves.
Overall, the scheme includes the main steps of the production from processing the source and gaining the oil to concentrating of the essential product.
Firstly, before steaming at high temperatures, the leaves were put in a big tank. As a result, the steam released the oil from the fresh plant’s parts and leaded it to the tube. Having been condensed as a warm water by hitting the cold metal, the steam was separated from the oil and taken out. Secondly, the oil cooled to a lower state while it was going through the spiral pipe, and at the bottom of the system, the cold water was mixed with substance for the essential process. At the next step, the new mixture flew to the settling tank and was left for some time before being splited-up. The two physical phases had been partitioned, and as a result, the oil concentrated on the top of the liquid and moved out to another vessel. Following, the used water was removed after the oil collection.
