Overall, Most of the Australian people consumed energy for heating while lowest percentage of energy is consumed for cooling.In addition, the highest percentage of green house gas came from water heating while cooling is the lowest.
With regards to household energy consumed, more power used for heating which accounted for 42% of total followed by water heating was 30%. Other appliances were the third largest which accounted for 15%. Moreover, energy used for refrigeration was 7%. Furthermore, both household lighting and cooling used power at 4% and 2% respectively.
When it comes to greenhouse gas emission, water heating was responsible for the highest emission recorded at 32%. In contrast to gas emission, 28% of emission was emitted by other appliances.Furthermore, both refrigeration and lighting combined emitted 22% of total gas. nevertheless, heating and cooling process were responsible for 3% and 15% of greenhouse gas respectively.
