The given pie charts representing Australian household energy use and greenhouse gas emissions respectively.
According to energy chart, heating has the highest amount with 42% and water heating follows it with 30%. Refrigeration 7%, other appliances 15%, lighting 4%, and cooling 2%.
In the greenhouse gas emissions chart show that, despite the heating is the most using energy, greenhouse gas emission is lower with 15%. Only heating has lower greenhouse gas emission. Refrigeration and lighting is same trend in greenhouse gas emission with 14% and 8% respectively. Because first pie chart shows that they are used half the rate of greenhouse they give. Other appliances has similar trend with 28%. Cooling has the lowest rate in the second chart with 3% and water heating has the highest rate with 32%. However, we can say that cooling produces more gas than water heating proportionally.
Overall it is clear that heating is the most eco-friendly energy use and lighting and refrigeration are the worst energy use for our environment.
