The pie chart displays two kinds of information about Australian households, the first shows energy usage in various forms, and the second points out the greenhouse emissions.
Overall, among the 6 items, heating contributes the most to energy use, and water heating releases more gas emissions in comparison to others. However, cooling shares almost the same percentage in both charts.
The first chart illustrates a difference of 12% in between water heating and heating usage at 30 % and 42%. Other applications uses only 15%. Among the other three, refrigeration holds 7%, whereas cooling and lighting energy use are below 5%.
The greenhouse gas emissions by heating and refrigeration are between 15% to 14%. The result from water heating emissions is the close to highest at 32% and second is the other appliances at 28%. Though the lighting usage is only 4% but the emissions is almost double at 8%.
