Heating and water heating constitute the main titles that use energy, with 42% and 30%, respectively. Other appliances accounted for 15%, more than double of refrigeration, with 7%. Lighting and cooling make up an insignificant proportion of energy consumption. Lighting represents 4%, while cooling mere 2%.
In terms of greenhouse gas dissemination, water heating results in the most significant amount of harmful gas released, with just under a third, while other appliances are more than a quarter, making it the second-biggest cause of greenhouse gases. Heating and refrigeration contaminate the atmosphere almost at the same rate, compared to lighting and cooling, with 8% and 3%, respectively.
