The provided diagrams illustrate how much energy household needs, such as refrigeration, water heating, cooling, heating, lighting, and other appliances use, and the amount of harmful gas they produce. Overall, it’s evident from the graphs that heating and water heating are the main consumers of energy, with water heating and other appliances dominating in emissions of greenhouse gases.
From the first chart, it can be seen that heating is ranked in first place in terms of energy consumption, accounting for 42%. Next comes water heating, which uses 30% of total energy. Cooling, lighting, and refrigeration use 2%, 4%, and 7% of energy, respectively, while other appliances consume 15%, which is exactly half of the energy used for water heating.
It’s shown in the second chart that water heating dominates the carbon dioxide production, being responsible for 32% of the gas produced. Carbon emission produced from other appliances is equivalent to 28%. Refrigeration and heating produce nearly the same proportion of gas, with the former having 14% and the latter making up 15%. Lighting and cooling are the most eco-friendly ones, accounting for 8% and at mere 3%, respectively.
