The diagram pictorially depicts information regarding to impacts of deforestation. At the first glance, deforestation give a lot of negative consequences, include flooding, less biodiversity, drought and soil erodes.
As presented in the illustration, main consequences and result of deforestation can be divided into 4 important categories. Firstly, compressing the soil by heavy logging equipment, contribute to soil becomes hard and ‘baked’. When soil become harden, rain water cannot seeps into the ground and therefore it runs off, this lead to flooding. Second consequences is top soil erodes, fewer roots ability hold the top soil in position. When tree is cutting, their lose ability adhesion and erosion occur.
Third consequences is less biodiversity. Increasing risk of burning deliberate or accidental will complete destroyed waste wood. This wood which when dig into the ground will feed a lot of micro- organisms. This increase pioneer species move in area which have vegetation is degraded and lead to an area with less biodiversity.
Finally, one consequences must face to face is increasing drought due to plants return less moisture to air make less precipitation. This lead to less biodiversity due to vegetation degradation.
