The two maps illustrate how the Clock Tower Roundabout in Dubai has changed over the decades. Overall, there have been significant developments in the northern part of the roundabout, particularly in terms of new facilities and buildings, while the southern part has seen less development.
There has been a substantial change in the upper area. The trees along the road in the top right-hand corner were removed to make way for buildings. In the past, there were only a few buildings in the top left-hand corner; however, new buildings have been constructed along the road. In the center, trees have been planted around the roundabout.
The upper area has changed the most; in contrast, the lower part has seen fewer changes. In the past, there were some trees in the bottom right-hand corner, but they were cut down. Previously, there were no cars in this area, which contrasts with the present, where car usage has become common. One feature that has remained the same, however, is the roads that run through the area.
