The pie chart illustrates the use of social media by men and women in Australia in two years. Some noticeable changes occurred over three years in both groups of respondents.
Overall, people started to use social media more frequently. In 2011 most men (44 percent) had never used social media; however, in 2014 forty-five percent of men used it on a daily basis. In 2011 the vast majority of women used to go on social media only once a week. By contrast, in 2014 only 10 percent used social media once a week, while the greatest number used it every day (59 percent).
The main similarity between the two groups is the increase in the number of users who went on social media daily over the three-year period. Another comparable feature is the number of people who went on social media once a week in 2014 (9 and 10 percent for men and women respectively).
