The graph illustrate the information about prices of bananas per kilogram in Japan, France, Germany and USA between 1994 and 2004.
Overall, it is clear that the prices remained relatively stable in some countries like USA and Germany over the decade where no major changes were noticed. On the other side, Japan and France had showed several variations.
In 1994, the price of one kg of bananas in USA was under 1$ which went up to around 1.2$ in one year and maintained it over other eight years. Similarly, bananas were sold just under 1.5$ in Germany in 1994 and there were no any big notable changes and it was same along the years.
In comparison, bananas were priced around 1.6$ per kg in France from 1994 to 1999. There were not any big changes in this period whereas from 2000 to 2004, the prices remained unstable and highs and lows of prices can be noticed. In Japan, the price per kg was around 2$ in 1994 which jumped to 3$ in one year. In 1996, a decline can be seen in the prices and it went back to 2$. It remained it’s position for some years but in 2001, prices were further reduced to around 1.5$. From 2002 to 2004, It climbs up and closed around 2.5$ in 2004.
