First of all, China and the America started the pattern at approximately 10% in 1920, and after a slight fluctuation, both amounts saw a decrease and almost halved in 1984 ,with 5% for each.In the next five years, the USA and China reached their peak, the America with 15% and china to a high of 20%.
In the following years, the amount of born babies declined in both nations.The USA rate steadily decreased from 15% in 1950, to merely 6% in 2000.Similarly, the pattern of China dramatically decreased to just below 10% in 1955,then,dropped to only about 2% in the year 2000 ,which is the lowest percentage for this country.
