Overall, the number of two types of visitors and total number witnessed an upward trend, with the total number and number of visitors staying on ships having nearly identical rising patterns. Notably, the figure for travellers staying on cruise ships surpassed that of accommodating on island in the middle of 2015.

Regarding the visitors staying on cruises, the number climbed slightly to 0.5 million and dropped immediately back to nearly 0.25 million. After this point, the figure grew, reaching a peak of 2 million in 2017. Meanwhile, the total number of tourists, which also rose steadily, remained at a stable level between 2015 and 2016, and finally peaked at 3.5 million in 2017.

In contrast, the figure for visitors staying on island remained stable between 2010 and 2011 at appxoimately 0.75 million. Following that, the number recorded an increase to 1.5 million and maintained at the same level after 2013 despite a slight fall in 2016.
