Overall, there was an increase in the number of people who traveled abroad in 5 countries examined, with France witnessing the most dramatic rise in the whole period. It is also clear that the US consistently had the highest figures throughout the period.
The number of international visitors to the US started at around 70, after which it experienced a gradual rise to roughly 85 in 2010. Similar changes were witnessed in the figures for tourists traveling to France, with a drastic increase from just over 30 in 1995 to approximately 85 in 2010.
About 20 of international travelers visited Malaysia in 1995, with a significant growth to downward of 50 at the end of the period. The figure for foreign visitors to Egypt and Brazil rose negligibly from shy of 10 at the beginning to around 20 in 2010, but a greater extent was seen in Egypt.
