The percentage of the population in Asian countries from 1970 to 2020, with predictions for the near future, using the examples of the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, are shown in the graph.
Both Malaysia and Indonesia have grown increasingly in percentage over these years, and they are predicted to continue rising in the future. Although the countries started their development from different percentages of the total population, their growth was stable, with a distance of approximately ten percent.
In contrast, the Philippines and Thailand did not exceed the level of 50% even in the years following 2020. Beginning with about 20 and 30 percent, respectively, they were only able to elevate their population for some decades. However, at least in the year 2030, there will be a slight increase.
To summarize, each of the four Asian countries shown in this graph will have an increase in the population percentage, but some of them will differ significantly in their dramatic development from others.
