However, both of them experienced a substantial surge by 1990; the trend for the latter fluctuated and made up just above 42% in 2020, whereas the former remained the same pattern and grew significantly and accounted for just under 80%. Malaysia is predicted to grow further and hit its peak at just under 80% in 2040, while the Philippines is anticipated to go up by 10% by the end of the given timeline, at around 55%.
Turning to Thailand and Indonesia, which began at 18% and at 13%, respectively. Until 2000, the proportion for the former was higher, while the reverse was true for the rest of the period. Both of them are predicted to make up 60% for Indonesia and 45% for Thailand, respectively.
