The bar graph illustrates the comparison of five different preferred free time activities chosen by Australian boys and girls aged between 5 and 14 years.
Analyzing the graph, watching TV or videos was highly preferred by both boys and girls. One hundred percent of boys and girls liked to watch television and videos. Electronic or computer games and bike riding were equally popular. Nearly 80 percent of boys preferred playing electronic or computer games and bike riding, and almost 60 percent of girls favored these activities. Art and craft was most popular among the girls, accounting for around 58 percent of girls who liked this. In contrast, nearly 35 percent of boys chose art and craft as a free time activity. Skateboarding or rollerblading was the least popular among all the activities. Fewer than 40 percent of teens were interested in skateboarding.
Overall, it can be seen that watching TV and videos was the most popular leisure activity, while a fewer number of boys and girls favored skateboarding or rollerblading.
