Band 4+: The graph below gives information about the price of bananas in four countries between 1994 and 2004. Write a report for a university, lecturer describing the information shown below. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph provides information about the cost of bananas in four countries from 1994 to 2004. Overall, Japan had the biggest price of the product, while France had a sharp decrease at the end of the period. Additionally, cost of bananas decreased in Germany, whereas the USA’s price did not experienced fluctuations.

In terms of Japan, the price of fruit stood at 19$ before peaking at 29$ in 1995. However, Japanese price of products notably declined to the initial price, whereas in France, cost of bananas accounted for 17$ between 1994 to 1997. Meanwhile, Japanese price experienced a significant dip to 16$ in 2001 and rose steadily at the end of the time frame. In France, the price of fruit accounted for 18$ before marginally decreasing to 9$ in 2003.

Regarding Germany, the price of bananas did have significant changes, and remained at 12$ initially. However, in this country, the cost of a product declined to 10$ in 2002. The USA had the lowest price of bananas and stood at 9$ in 1994. However, the price increased by 1$ and continued to stood ar this price.
