Overall, it is noticeable that the trend for all 4 countries were fluctuation where Japan recorded the greatest number of the bananas price in most of the year, whereas the figure for the United States was the lowest throughout most of the period.

With regard to the number of price of bananas in Japan, there was a dramatic increase in 1995 from below $2 in 1994 to almost $3 in the following year, making it the highest price across all countries. After that, the figure for Japan decreased moderately to around $1.5 in 2001 and rising gradually to $2.5 in the last years. In contrast, the figure for France remained steady over the first three years before fluctuating dramatically between $1 and around $1.75, surpassing that of Japan in 2001.

Furthermore, the price of bananas in Germany stood at almost $1.5, after which the figure fluctuated and dropping slightly to approximately $1.25 in 2004. Conversely, the figure for the United States begin at just under $1 and then increased to about $1.25 in 1995 before starting to fluctuate over the period.
