The depicted chart provides data about how many people were engaged in several types of activities at a particular community centre in an Australian city, Melbourne, between 2000 and 2020. It is clear that nearly all the clubs saw an increase in the number of participants by the end of the period.
To begin with, the popularity of film club was always the highest, compared to others, with a peak of 70 in 2020, while it was followed by the trend of martial arts in 2000 with approximately 40, and it suffered from a slight fluctuation by 2020. In addition, in 2000, the number of attendants on the two courses—amateur dramatics and table tennis was the same, but by 2020 it had a negative correlation, indicating a decrease in the former and a decrease in the latter.
Moreover, in 2005 a new activity called ‘musical performances’ was introduced and by the years passed, it gained popularity among participants, roughly one in ten in 2015 and one-fifth of the all individuals taking part in the center in 2020. Interestingly, by the end the amateur dramatics club was the least participated.
