The bar chart gives information about the number of books borrowed from a library in three genres – fiction, non-fiction, and children’s books – over a six-month period. Overall, the share of borrowers decreased in almost all categories, with the exception of children’s book. In addition, the figure for fiction books experienced the most dramatic change. Moreover, Fiction books remained top on the list in terms of borrowers throughout the studied period.

Focusing on bigger numbers first, the number of borrowers in fiction and non-fiction books was higher compared to other listed categories. Starting at 800, the amount of people borrowing fiction books fluctuated significantly between 800 and 700 in April. However, it decreased sharply to 600 in June. In January, 600 non-fiction books were borrowed. Over the next four months, there was a consistent decrease of only 25 in the number of borrowers after which it continued declining noticeably to 550 till June.

When it comes to smaller figures, the figure for people borrowing children’s book was lower. The number of children’s book borrowers began at 400, a figure that then reduced slightly to about 390 in March. After that, there was a considerable growth of 60 till the final month.
