on the other hand in Portugal, the emissions started to rocket from 1.2MT in 1967 to 5.4MT in 2007. similarly, 4.2MT carbon dioxide emissions was produced by Italy in 1967,after which it witnessed a significant growth to 7.6MT in 1997 and remained stable afterwards to 2007.
