In general, Canada underwent a significant decline in the proportion of satisfied people before bouncing back in 20007, while this figure for the Netherlands remained unchanged during the sixteen-year period. In contrast, the UK and US experienced a graudal increase in the level of satisfaction with the healthcare system
In 1991, Canada recorded the highest level of satisfaction, with approximately 58%, compared to 47% in the Netherlands. However, this figure for the Canada fell sharply to only about 15% in 1998, before going back to 40% in 2007. The Netherlands remained stable during the period.
Regarding the UK, only around 22% of surveyed people satisfied with their healcare system, while this level of satisfaction in the US was only 9%. By 1998, the UK’s figure rose slightly to 25% before reaching 28% in 2007. The US shared the smae trend with a minor rise to 10% in 1998 and around 11% in 2007.
