During the period, the figure for the United Kingdom experienced a slight decline, while the indicator for Portugal witnessed a significant rise which was reached the same result as the figure for Sweden.
The United Kingdom was the highest amount of CO2 emissions at roughly 11 metric tonnes in 1967. Throughout the period, the contribution of the UK decreased slightly, which was around 7 metric tonnes at the end of period. The Sweden recorded the highest indicator, at over 10 metric tonnes, and its figure fluctuated between 1967 and 1987, before witnessed a slight decrease by 2007. it was the same as Portugal’s indicator in 2007.
The level of CO2 in Italy, reaching around 4 metric tonnes in 1967, experienced increase during the 10 year period, which was approximately 8 metric tonnes in 2007, wheares the contribution of Portugal, at around 4 metric tonnes, went up significantly by 2007 and it was roughly 5 metric tonnes as Sweden’s figure in 2007
