Overall, what can be seen from the graph is that all three figures were upward. The number of visitors came to the USA for holiday was the highest in the beginning of the period and in the end trends of both business and holiday reasons became equal. In addition, meeting friends and relatives was the least common reason of people visiting the USA for the whole period.

If we look at holiday reason, the trend started at over 6 and went up sharply to about 9 in 1996. After which there was a steep decline to over 6 between 1996 and 2004. Despite reducing, the number recovered to 8 in the last year. When it comes to how many people came to the USA for business reason, the chart began at over 5 and decreased considerably to 4 in 1991. Then the line witnessed a dramatic growth to 6 in 1996. Next, there was a gradual rise to 8 from 1996 to 2009.

As regards the meeting friends and relatives reason, it was the only change which did not experience any reduction. The chart started at below 4 and was growing minimally to over 4 between 1989 and 1996. Following by, the number continued increasing to over 6 from 1996 to 2009.
