The graph displays the statistics of tourists who visited a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017. It is evident that visitors who have chosen to stay on the Island had the highest number in overall data (with the exception in 2017) rather than the number of visitors who were staying on cruise ships.
In the year 2010, there were a quarter of million visitors that stayed on cruise ships, while another 7500 visitors were staying on island, with that totals up to a million visitors during that year. In the next year (2011), the number of visitors staying on cruise ships experienced a slight increase to roughly a half of millions, making the total visitors increased linearly (1 million and a half quarter) although the visitors staying on island showed the same number as the previous year. Moving on, there was an opposite pattern of visitor numbers between both areas in 2012. The number of visitors staying on cruise ships witnessed the slightest fall to 25000 visitors while the number of visitors staying on island increased to 12500. This sums up to an amount of 15000 visitors during that period.
From the data above, the number of visitors staying on the island rose to 150,000 visitors in 2013 and remained steady until 2015. Meanwhile about the cruise ships visitors, the numbers show a considerable growth starting from a half of million in 2013 to roughly 1250000 in 2015. The total number of visitors during the year of 2015 reached around 275000 visitors. This figure has increased almost 3 times from the total visitors in 2010. In the following year (2016), the total numbers of visitors remained unchanged from 2015, but there was a bit different in terms of the composition from each component, which the numbers of visitor staying on cruise ships increase at about a half million while the numbers of visitor staying on the island experienced the opposite trend (decreased for a half million). In the final year, 2017, both areas rebounded roughly by a half million and influenced the total numbers to reach a peak at about 350000 visitors, as the highest total during the timeframe.
Through the years, the number of visitors staying on cruise ships showed an unstable growth for the first four years, but continued to increase in the next year onwards. As for the number of visitors staying on the island, there was no progress of increase or decrease in the first two years which are 2010 and 2011, but the graph rose until it remained constant for three constructive years in a row. All in all,the graph showed an outstanding performance for the total number of visitors throughout the period, where it increased gradually every single year except from 2015 to 2016 where it remained steady.
