The bar chart illustrates the preferences of people going to cinemas in one European country on each day of the week in 2003, 2005 and 2007. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that people mainly opted for the weekends and Fridays as the best option for spending their time at the cinemas.
It is clear that there are small fluctuations between provided years during the week. As for 2003, Tuesday and Wednesday were selected for coming for movies with 20 percent and more than 15 percent respectively, while the number decreased in 2005 and 2007. In 2005 Monday, Saturday and Sunday outnumbered the previous year, whereas in next year the percentages on these days were reduced. Only on Thursday the figure of people increased from nearly 10% to almost 15%.
In terms of days of the week, Saturday and Sunday were the most common choices for movie time with from 40 to 45% and from 30 to nearly 35% respectively. In addition, the last day of work week was the popular time with a standability of 30% throughout the period.
To summarize all data sets, during the years the percentages have not sharply changed, selecting Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as the particular day for films.
